For over 10 years, Mark has performed around Melbourne, country Victoria, around Australia and also parts of Sth East Asia. His musical versatility and performance experience draw the audience’s attention, and his natural rapport ensures an enjoyable and entertaining occasion.
His musical career started at an early age, growing up in a household full of music.
After many years of classical training, Mark stumbled upon the piano styles of Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnnie Johnson & Fats Domino and knew straight away that he was on a mission from God to bring Boogie Woogie and Honky Tonk Piano playing into the 21 Century and into the pubs and hip joints around Melbourne and Australia.
Mark performs a variety of musical styles including: Jazz, Blues, (he has studied with jazz great and Singapore's 'King of Swing' Professor Jeremy Monteiro), Gospel and Top 40 songs. He has been influenced by musicians such as: Harry Connick Jr, Dr. John, Professor Longhair, Ray Charles, James Booker, Jerry Lee Lewis, and many of the great Gospel singers and musicians.
Mark has been known to play all 88 keys of the piano with various parts of his body and can be seen in various pubs, cafes, restaurants and festivals around Melbourne & Victoria, playing covers and originals. Some of Mark's orginal songs can be heard on various community radio stations e.g. PBSFM and has recorded 2 songs for an Australian independent short film titled Lunar, which was released early 2008. Other writing credits include collarboration and recording for the one of the Melbourne International Comdey Festival shows 'Tearing Up The Social Fabric'
With a song list of over 200 songs, Mark can cater for any type of event or festival whether it be solo, trio or more.
